This is the second (and much better) design I attempted for this project. It works well, and has a little "slop" to make it easy to use. Slots every 45º allow for multiple positions. 4 layers thick seems quite adequate. Wide sloping of the handle assures strength. The larger hole in the handle helps getting a grip on it. The smaller is for hanging.
