RV Paper Towel Holder

I was searching for a paper towel holder that could withstand the rigors of life on the road in an RV. In this environment, everything must be secured to prevent it from becoming a projectile or getting damaged during travel. I drew inspiration from bpopp's Ultimate Paper Towel Dispenser with the screw cap end, found at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2502868. This design sparked my creativity and led me to start from scratch and create two new versions that catered to my specific needs. Since I couldn't use screws in the area where I planned to install the holder, I opted for a design that could be mounted using double-sided foam tape instead. To ensure stability and durability, it was essential to increase the surface area available for mounting tape, which led me to redesign the entire piece. Both versions feature a long, flat component that attaches to the surface, one with screw holes and the other without. Each side has three screw holes, allowing users to utilize short screws while still achieving a secure mount if needed. To simplify printing, I divided each piece in half, eliminating the need for supports. The two halves are connected using a mechanical fastener to enhance overall strength. The redesigned screw cap is significantly longer, measuring 75mm, and the opposite end core holder has been lengthened accordingly. This modification ensures that paper towel roll contents remain secure even when navigating rough roads.
