Designed from scratch, this plug has been made more substantial with solid construction and its threads enlarged by 3 percent to ensure a flawless fit. The head of the plug was shortened to accommodate a 7/8" (22mm) wrench, while teflon tape is applied around the threads for an impenetrable seal. I created this after my hollow plastic plug on my motorhome gave out, prompting me to test a solid part design. Initially, I attempted a hollow part design but it proved too weak and ultimately broke. To remove the hollow type, insert a bayonet knife with a tapered end until it's fully lodged, then twist it counterclockwise for removal.
