RV Door or Drawer Latch

Important: Print the receivers out of TPU and the arms out of PETG, ABS, PLA (in preferred order) at 100% infill. I made these to replace the (very) cheap fabric snaps that were supposed to hold our travel trailer doors closed during travel. After a long trip I found two of our doors on the floor that looked like bigfoot tore them down and threw them. Then I discovered other use cases for these like: hold the refrigerator/freezer door closed during travel (the jank latch that comes with the travel trailer was worthless), hold the refrigerator open during storage and to hold drawers closed. I suppose the list could go on. How to use: For each thing you want to keep closed or open you're going to need 2 RV Door Latch Receivers and one latch arm. If you need the short or long arm depends on what you're trying to keep closed or open and how far apart the mounting points of the receivers are. What works best is to print the receivers and one of each arm. Put the arm in the receivers and see if the short or long works. Physics would tell us the shorter the arm, the better. So, try that first. Note - When traveling, I use the short arms on our refrigerator and freezer. When in storage, I switch to the long arms to hold them both open. Both using the same receivers. In other words, you can switch between long and short arms as your use case necessitates without needing to mount additional receivers for the same "thing". Once you figure out the arm length you need, position the receivers while the arm is in them on your two mounting points, flat side against the mounting surface. You will note there are flat surfaces both on the arm and inside the receivers. This is deliberate so it stays in place during travel. If it was round, it would rotate and move during travel. So, ensure the backs are flat on your mounting points and you're at an angle where the arm and receiver flat parts match up as well. Then, put a pencil mark under the receivers on both mounting points. Once you've marked the mounting points, remove the arm, grab your favorite adhesive (I used super glue because it sets fast) and attach the receivers. Allow ample time for your adhesive to cure before attempting use. I put these on our doors about 2 years ago and haven't had a problem since. That includes a 1,000+mile trip through Birmingham Alabama where Interstate 65 is like a brick road with missing bricks, speed bumps, potholes and ramps for jumping. It's worst section of interstate in the country I've driven on and it's been like that for at least 2 years. But I digress.
