My primary goal was to craft something user-friendly to install or remove swiftly, requiring no holes in my motor home. I opted for a solution resembling one already available on the market by employing pleated curtains instead. While commercial alternatives proved too expensive, this homemade option would set me back less than 10 euros. I purchased from IKEA four extremely economical pleated curtains named Schotis (each costing only 2.90 EUR) along with two 1m*8mm aluminum pipes from Leroy Merlin and created items compatible with my Fiat Ducato cabin. Mine is a X230 model, however, I believe these modifications will be fitting for various other models. To attach the printed objects to the aluminum rods, I utilized six-millimeter screws. Great care must be taken when drilling into the pleated curtains; they're made from stiff paper that resists rapid drilling and necessitates separate treatment for each individual curtain piece. Currently, only the bottom section simply rests against the dashboard. In time, it may be desirable to incorporate additional rods below, alongside reselecting a different model of curtain altogether. Ultimately, one visual representation often overshadows written descriptions. Once opened, laterals can be neatly cut to conform with the windows. They remain securely attached beneath their corresponding seals using adhesives, allowing them to provide essential support. Two small clips were created to retain the curtain when it's being raised and lowered. This is merely an ongoing development project, with room for further adjustments according to user preferences. Specifically, two visible pipes along the upper part of my cabin have been bothering me enough to motivate a new drawing plan that aims to hide them seamlessly under aesthetically appealing caps, which in turn will enhance the entire interior atmosphere inside the motor home.
