When the friction fit end cap came off my RV and was lost, I decided to create one that is held on by a 1/4 inch x 5 inch hitch pin. This will require drilling a 1/4 inch hole at the top and bottom of the 4 inch square tube to accommodate the hitch pin. At the bottom inside of the end cap, there are 3 grooves to allow water to escape. I finished mine with Bondo, sand paper and glossy black spray paint.
