<p>This oil vapor collection box has a hose connector to an aircraft engine PVC type device that allows oil and water vapors to cool and condense in a washable filter media. This is intended to prevent the oil and water vapor from making a mess on the belly of the aircraft when these are just vented into the free airstream. Breather material for composite vacuum bagging make a great filter media for the vent in the lid. The bottom of the box can be lined with oilsorb pad material. The box can be opened by removing the top four #8 screws to clean the media. Typically requires no attention between oil changes, but that will vary depending on your engine's oil blowby characteristics.</p><p>Print with PC or CF Nylon because it lives in the engine compartment heat. Make sure you have good bed adhesion, brim, etc as these parts will easily warp when printing. &nbsp;The screw holes in the base should be tapped with an 8-32 tap after printing. &nbsp;</p>
