Ruudhuid
myminifactory
The artwork is a result of combining two earlier pieces created by artist Arvo Siikamäki, born in 1943. Initially, he crafted a life-sized model of an Indian's head and a smaller figure sitting with similar movement to the one displayed now. For his exhibition in Helsinki in 1976, Siikamäki designed a combined version of these two works on a larger scale. The face of the Indian is depicted with a proud posture, while the body is helplessly restrained with hands tied behind its back. Two identical copies of this artwork exist.
