Trimble X7 exports point cloud data directly into ReCap. The Perspective module enables users to export a .e57 file, which can then be imported back into ReCap for further processing, such as decimation. Once in ReCap, the user can crop and isolate specific stations of interest. Exporting the data again as a new smaller .e57 file is also an option. Finally, LAStools is used to convert the .e57 file into a LAS format.
