Modelled after vintage cast iron school desk ends, this construction is a sturdy cast iron framework that supports a wooden seat held up by hinged brackets on either side. The wood-textured seat, back, and desktop provide a robust appearance. The model comes with all textures provided as-is. Four overlapping UV maps - for the desktop/deskback, seat, castiron sides, and seat brackets - allow for efficient texturing with no duplicate efforts needed. Cast iron textures will look uniform on both inner and outer surfaces due to the single map used for both. Similarly, the same texture is applied to both cast iron side frames and the cast iron brackets that hold up the seat. For customized baking shadows or specific texturing preferences, the model must be able to be unwrapped and re-textured accordingly as original unwrap UV maps are not available. The zip file provided contains base textures in OBJ, 3DS, FBX format for a variety of scaling needs including meters and centimeters, all based on initial game asset development that does not require normal maps or additional textures except the ones shown in provided images. No materials have been supplied separately. Important Updates: The original dimensions of this model have now been scaled to reflect real-world sizes in inches and feet. Please note that due to design constraints, it is not recommended for actual usage; sitting on it may lead to safety issues as no additional support or bracing was added.
