I wanted a basket-like feel, with that woven style that always appeals to me for its homespun aesthetic (I'd already decided on a light brown shade), but I also wanted to push my love for polyhedra further. So, we have this dodecahedron with sunken facets that are rendered into stars. That tension between single strands filling space by pushing and pulling against itself is what really gets me - I was going for that kind of sensibility in the star facets when I started. But I certainly wasn't trying to emulate weaving itself, so there's no over-and-under, just solid elements coming together smoothly.
