Russian Tower (cupola, onion dome) inspired by Saint Basil's Cathedral
thingiverse
Human-designed cupola adorns Russian church tower crafted with precision by OpenSCAD's mathematical model. PHP script and OpenSCAD program are accessible. STL files for two colors undergo a process of x30 scaling, then shifted onto the 3D printer bed via Blender manipulation, followed by manifoldness simplification/fixation through meshlab utilization. Instructions Design created using Da Vince 2.0 and printed with a 2 filament printer featuring "russiantow-gx30fix" in green and "russiantow-rx30fix" in red colors. Users can mix the two STL files with any 3D CAD tool to print in single color mode. To alter the design of the cupola, users must adjust parameters within OpenSCAD program, run PHP script and redirect output to "calcmesh.scad," then execute "russiantow.scad" to modify the tile pattern as described within the program itself.
