Russian man with Jar and fish

This public sculpture embodies a traditional Russian worker, proudly holding a jar from which water gushes out, bringing a fish to life. The character remains somewhat unclear but is believed to symbolize rebirth and Russia's natural heritage. The Museum and exhibition complex of the Russian Academy of Arts "Zurab Tsereteli's Art Gallery" was inaugurated in March 2001. Located within the historic Dolgorukovs' House, this gallery boasts enfilades of remarkable vaulted halls on its first level, which have preserved their architectural space from the XVIII century and several magnificent grand halls on the second level, beautifully decorated in the mid-XIX century. Located at M: Kropotkinskaya, The Russian Academy of Arts "Zurab Tsereteli's Art Gallery" is perfectly suited for exhibitions with numerous various halls and covered courtyards to showcase exquisite artworks. Scale Russian and international exhibitions focused on fine art, architecture, and design are held in this new exhibition center. In addition, a constant global display of the art treasures collected by the Academy throughout its history is continuously presented.
