This is a relatively accurate model of a snowplow made by the Russell Company of Ridgeway, PA. They were very popular across the country and used by dozens if not hundreds of railroads. These are being produced in several versions seen throughout New England and the northeast US. Each has its own specific details but plows like the Central Vermont version were the most common. Included are Boston & Maine single and double track, Central Vermont, Green Mountain Railroad and Maine Central Railroad and even C&NW left-hand plows.
