Running Cleats, Ice Grips Feedback is greatly appreciated if you try these, aiming to create something that everyone can use for safety during winter runs and walks without excessive bulk. I've added the Solidworks file if you'd like to remix; please do so as a remix so everyone can easily link to it. Thanks in advance for any insights that might improve the print or usability of this model; feel free to PM me with suggestions, and I'll update the model accordingly. **Exercising Caution on Ice and Slippery Surfaces** This is intended to be a helpful tool, but not guaranteed to work in all conditions. Materials Needed: Screw: https://www.mcmaster.com/93882a144 (most local hardware stores will likely carry these) 1/2" webbing + connectors + buckles as desired A simple strap-on pad for the bottom of your shoe (intended to be printed in urethane for flexibility, but may work with other materials) Adding a touch of Super Glue to the hole helps the screw stay put during runs. The screw pokes through slightly to prevent the pad from sliding; please note that this might wear down your sole over time, so consider using older shoes. As shoes have evolved from rubber soles to FOAMY materials, grip on slippery surfaces has decreased, and my old trick of using sheet metal screws no longer works since they simply pull out. I've been searching for a suitable alternative, and this allows me to reattach screws to the bottom of my shoe again for ICY/SNOWY CONDITIONS.
