Here is the rewritten text: I'm making a Neopixel Clock. You can see it in action here: https://youtu.be/7_WXX9sdJPA. The required print parts are: - 4x Top pieces - 4x Bottom pieces - 1x 12 o'clock hanger - 1x 6 o'clock stand - 2x 3 and 9 o'clock stands - 1x Holding clip I'll also need transparent parts: - 12x Thin lines - 48x Thick lines The required electronics are: - 1x 1m WS2812b RGB LED strip (60 LEDs/meter) - 1x Arduino Nano - 1x DS3231 Real-Time Clock - 1x 5V Power Supply - Various wire (0.14mm²) - 2.1 x 5.5mm Socket - Transparent glue Important: Don't use a second glue, it creates white spots next to the glue. I'll also need: - 20x20mm Clips and cable ties The program: I'm using Florian's original program with some modifications. The original program synchronizes the clock time once per hour. However, my Arduino (from China) is off by 5 seconds within 60 seconds, so I've modified it to synchronize every 10 seconds. You can buy the components here: - WS2812b RGB LED strip: Amazon ($17.90 with Prime), Aliexpress ($3.60 or $18 for 5 meters) - Arduino Nano: Banggood ($2.09), Amazon ($4.99 with Prime) - DS3231 Real-Time Clock: Amazon (5 pieces for $11.99 with Prime) - Power Supply: Amazon ($8.89 with Prime) - Wire: Amazon ($13.99 for 10 colors) - Socket: Amazon ($4.40 for 10 pieces) - Clips and cable ties: Amazon ($10.99 for 600 pieces) I assume everyone can assemble the clock parts and upload the program to the Arduino Nano. However, there are a few things that might need some extra attention. To use the serial monitor with the Arduino software, you'll need to change the baud rate from "standard 9600" to 115200. Commands for setting the clock: - b followed by a number (0-255) sets the brightness of the hour hand LEDs - m followed by a number (0-255) sets the brightness of the minute markers - f (small letter) turns off the gentle transition/overlay of the second hand - F (capital letter) turns on the gentle transition/overlay of the second hand - t followed by date and time sets the clock to that value - s (small letter) shows the current time from the real-time clock and continues running - S (capital letter) saves the previous set time to the real-time clock This clock is a modified version of Florian Knodt's Neopixel Clock, which he showed in a video on his YouTube channel "BitBastelei".
