Runcam Split 2 Case with Mini Talon Canopy

This camera mount employs a customized canopy from itsqv.com, sourced from their Parts Catalog - Mini Talon. In contrast to the itsqv canopy, every other component is crafted from scratch. The creation was inspired by an earlier version I shared on Thingiverse, specifically the one titled 2964693. This rendition boasts a smaller and lighter design compared to its predecessor. Additionally, it's modular, permitting effortless mounting on similar-sized aircraft as those utilized with the minitalon. A small opening has been incorporated to enable button activation while the canopy is in place. I have recently modified this mount to accommodate a USB cable that can be discreetly inserted beneath the canopy. The servo used for tilt is a Turnigy 50090M, boasting a lightweight 9g analog design. Conversely, the pan servo utilized is a JX-PDI-9180MG, a high-performance, 180-degree analog servo weighing in at 20kg and featuring a rapid response time of 12ms. Most bolts and screws employed within this assembly are M3 (further details will be provided subsequently). For the sphere component, I opted for smaller M1 screws. To produce these parts, I utilized standard print settings as follows: Material - PLA; Density - 0.2mm; Infill Density - 15%; Support Density for complex sections - 25%. I am currently working on a base mount for my Pilatus PC-21 to accommodate the same camera setup. This new design is modular in nature, allowing for seamless transfer between various models.
