Runcam Micro Swift Camera Body for Large 12mm Lens- Convert Runcam Mini to Micro

When Runcam released the Runcam Micro Swift just days after the Runcam Mini, I immediately wanted one. I had recently purchased a mini and thought they looked very similar, so I printed a new case/lens holder right away. Since then, I've made some adjustments to make it fit/look better and this is the final product. All of my versions work well - V3 is the simplest and fits perfectly without being too weak or too big for what I had in mind. V2 is closer to the actual Runcam Micro shell size, but my first one had a bit of light leakage after flying for a while. V1 also works fine, but I decided to slim it down a bit more. It requires a lens from a mini or full-sized Runcam...or from a Runcam Eagle. I didn't design one that uses a micro-sized lens. I would have posted this sooner, but I moved back to the United States and didn't have much chance to fly or print for two years. Now that I'm back, I'm getting back into printing and flying again, and I wanted to post this in case others might find it useful. Printed in PLA or PETG...both materials have worked great for me. Slower is better when printing with small threads (even then, it can be tough but can usually be fixed). It also prints fine with a 0.4mm nozzle, and I recently printed a couple with a 0.3mm nozzle and liked the results. The one in the photo was printed with a 0.5mm nozzle, so you have some options. I printed with supports as shown in the photo above. Since the threads are very small, they may not print well depending on your printer and print speed. If it doesn't thread well, try heating it up just a bit before screwing the lens in for the first time. It works great if you partially thread the lens and then warm only the lens with a heat gun. Don't overheat or the base will warp and won't fit properly anymore. Attaching the camera sensor also helps keep the body from warping out of shape. Once the lens is threaded all the way in for the first time, it shouldn't give you any problems. For my cameras, the lens needed to be threaded about halfway in to get a clear picture (which should be similar to the stock case).
