RunCam Ejection Wedge
thingiverse
It's a game-changer! The mounting bracket included with the RunCam HD holds that camera firmly in place, almost too tightly. I discovered the easiest way to remove the camera was to use a knife to pry it out, but this will inevitably scratch the plastic casing. To overcome this challenge, I created this wedge to perform the same function while safeguarding the case. I'm confident you'll find numerous uses for this versatile tool beyond its primary purpose. It's essentially a wedge-spudger hybrid. To utilize this device, simply insert it between the camera's rear and the mount, then press it in gently. The camera will slide out effortlessly without any need to twist or force it. Take a look at the example GCode image: you'll notice a straight, single strip of plastic - that's exactly what you're aiming for. If you encounter issues with your slicer, rest assured this is an intended design feature.
