Run Ralphie Run - A Mechanical Buffalo
thingiverse
University of Colorado-themed mechanical buffalo toy! Turning the knob causes its legs to move back and forth in motion. It is 100% made from 3D-printed materials, so no other supplies are needed. Check out the assembly guide PDF if you're having trouble figuring out how it all fits together. Video of the finished toy in action: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U5zwF6g2LLU Design details can be found at http://www.aesdes.org/2016/04/20/run-ralphie-run-a-mechanical-buffalo-final-report-part-1/ Note: "Ralphie A" is designed with a one-way snap fit. If you want to be able to disassemble your toy, use Ralphie A without the snap. UPDATE 26-APR-2019: See "Ralphie Toy Files - THINNER.zip" for a version that is significantly thinner and has tighter tolerances on the gear bores (previous 0.30", now 0.27"). All SW files and .STL files are included, with all fillets and snap features removed. The assembly should still function as intended even though this change was made.
