Rumoured iPhone 6, print your own!
thingiverse
In light of the MacRumors announcement of a 3D printable iPhone 6 file for sale, one may find it somewhat extravagant to purchase a file with a relatively simple shape. Fortunately, an OpenSCAD file has been made available to create your own iPhone 6 model, along with the corresponding STL file. The OpenSCAD file even comes with comments for personal customization preferences. However, the current version does not include the back lump for the lens, nor does it feature an apple logo or other finer details. If you have a 3D printer, feel free to enhance the model yourself. After overcoming some printer issues, a low-resolution print was successfully produced, albeit with a somewhat rough finish. Nonetheless, it provides a good approximation of the actual size, particularly the 5.5-inch version in black. A screenshot from bgr.com has also been printed to serve as the phone's home screen image. For those interested in the smaller 4.7-inch iPhone 6, a suggested layout is available on MacRumors, and OpenSCAD and STL files have been provided for both sizes.
