Rumor Mill Costume

Rumor MILL .... Get it....... (dad joke, face palm) Rumors are fast-moving objects. Blow them around even quicker with this Rumor Mill. Rumor blades spin around on a lazy Susan. The fans are on hinges so when you're walking around the mill fan blades can hinge back and spring forward into place using elastic bands. The hinged fans are good so when you go through doorways and when you inevitably bump into someone. There are two different rumor blade sizes. Small: Good for 3D printing Large: Can be cut out of wood or cardboard. Assembly: Mount a 3" lazy Susan to a piece of wood with straps. I used a cut-up bag to cover the wood. The fabric made the costume more comfortable to wear and the fuzzy straps gave it a cool look. The blades attach to the hinge pieces, and elastic bands go around them to make them spring back into place. The hinges hinge on the hub (center part) with 3mm (1/8") shaft (cut dowel rod or metal rod). The Hub mounts to the lazy Susan mounting plate. If you want to have the fans of the mill farther from your back, there is a standoff piece. Use the appropriate 4mm screws to bolt the hub to the lazy Susan. And Enjoy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_EFBxiHssI
