The iconic Ted Cassidy, aka Lurch from the Addams Family classic of the 1960s, also lent his digital presence to a sci-fi universe when he starred as an android on Star Trek. Following in the footsteps of that iconic character portrayal, I shamelessly utilized a pre-existing model and repurposed it for another project by renaming it Ruk. My settings were carefully calibrated: the infill density was set to zero percent, and the layer thickness came out to be precisely 300 microns. At such a rapid rate, 110 millimeters per second proved just sufficient, as the printer sprang into action with precision using the strong ABS material that held its shape firmly in place. Although it is generally recommended to employ the biodegradable PLA for this kind of project and crank up the infill density all the way up to five percent for extra strength and support.
