Ruiner Helmet
thingiverse
A tribute helmet inspired by the game Ruiner, still in its infancy. The current design is largely wearable, but visibility is a major concern. To overcome this, several improvements are needed. Firstly, adding tabs with holes for magnets will allow the helmet to be held together more securely, making it easier to wear. This feature has already been initiated. Secondly, an inner mount for lights and a vacuum formable front part will enhance the overall accuracy of the helmet, much like its game counterpart. Progress is being made on this aspect as well. Thirdly, slicing the helmet into easily printable parts will make the manufacturing process more efficient. This step has also been started. Lastly, minor adjustments to shape and a complete overhaul of the nose are required to achieve perfection. Unfortunately, this phase has not yet begun. The ultimate goal is to print the final model, create a visor using a vacuum former, add raspberry pi controlled lights, and pad the interior for comfort. Two versions of the helmet will be available: one with a display screen but no visibility, and another with options for lights or no lights. Additionally, video tutorials and parts lists for the lights will be provided. To learn more about Ruiner, visit Twitter @ruinergame or the official website at ruinergame.com.
