The Heilingskirche ruins, also known as the Wallfahrtskirche to the Three Holy Marys, is a protected historical landmark that was once a pilgrimage church located in the upper Franconian market town of Wirsberg. Remnants of the church can be found near the equally abandoned St.-Leonards-Kirche south-east of the Neufang neighborhood. The preserved gable front features an entrance portal and a slit window. The construction of the church is dated to the 13th or 14th century, but it was not officially documented until 1469. In connection with the Reformation, Markgraf Georg ordered valuable items from the churches, including those from the Heilingskirche, to be inventoried in 1528. At that time, the church began to deteriorate significantly. Starting in 1564, the mayor and council of Wirsberg were allowed to remove stones from the church and use them for the construction of a new school building. During their investigations, they also discovered sealed parts of the Gethsemane group hidden behind the walls. The stones were also used in other buildings.
