The Ruhrstahl-Kramer RK 344 was a groundbreaking wire-guided air-to-air missile created by German engineers during World War II. Although it didn't see actual combat use and therefore failed to demonstrate its capabilities on the battlefield, the X-4 made an enormous impact globally in the years following the war. Its pioneering design served as the foundation for the development of numerous cutting-edge ground-launched anti-tank missiles, including the trailblazing Malkara.
