A rugged little box designed to safeguard your sensitive electronics or valuables while you're on-the-go. The lid clicks firmly into place, engineered to provide a secure seal that withstands everyday wear and tear. I deliberately crafted the clips to bear some static load, ensuring the two halves remain tightly connected. The interlocking seal effectively keeps dust at bay and offers a layer of protection against water ingress. To open it safely, you'll need to lift both clips on one side simultaneously; attempting to pry it open by lifting just one clip won't work. Water resistance largely depends on how you print this design. I printed it with three perimeter layers and four top layers, then submerged the bottom half in water for several hours without noticing any leaks. However, if you plan to leave it exposed to rain for an extended period, consider sealing the exterior by applying a coat of paint. The interlocking seal will provide optimal protection against rain only when the box is positioned upright. This design can be printed without supports, as demonstrated in the attached image. The clips protrude from the base at a 65-degree angle, suitable for most printers. When printed to scale, the internal dimensions measure 120mm L x 70mm W x 62mm H, with a 15mm radius in each corner. I've also successfully printed this design down to 60% scale and have added a version 1a lid with thicker sections around the clip necks.
