Rugged Snap-Together Device Box
thingiverse
This is a very strong, snap-together project box for making electronic devices. Results in a clean solid box with all connections hidden away. The face places are printed separately making it easy to reconfigure the device. The final box is 190mm x 150mm x 50mm similar in size to an old CD-Rom drive. Certain parts are labeled "remove" and should be cut out after printing. There are also some small support bits on the shell piece to cut out with diagonal cutters. Everything should snap together and fit tightly. The bezels can be removed carefully by prying off gently with a putty knife. Updates 4-12-21: * The main picture shows the latest print all done with ABS. The parts come apart easier with ABS due to its flexibility. * Use a putty knife if needed to gently pry off the bezels from the sides. I'll post a video if necessary. It can be removed without damage. * I added a stronger bezel, an easier to fit stand (more tolerance), and faceplates with rails for painting with a paint roller.
