Ruger MK III / IV 22/45 +1 Magazine Extension
thingiverse
Building off my Ruger Mark IV 22/45 Magazine Base Pad, I've designed a +1 mag extension that allows the follower to drop down a little further, letting you squeeze in that 11th round. This +1 extension will work with both the Mark III and the Mark IV 22/45 models. I'm experiencing some difficulties printing this design on my MP Select Mini, as the angle on the front is too steep. When I attempt to print with support, the supports stick to the PLA and look terrible. To overcome this challenge, I've resorted to printing it without support and sanding down the rough spots. If anyone has a solution for printing this design more smoothly, please share your expertise by leaving a comment below. As proof that it holds 11 rounds, you can check out my YouTube video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O2to-Q7a3Pw. UPDATE: I've created a version 2 of the design, which features a less severe slope from the front to the bottom. This modification should make printing much easier and result in a better-looking finished product. It no longer shows up as a red flag in Cura either.
