Ruger 22/45 Mag Bases numbered 1 to 6
thingiverse
Extended mag bases for Ruger 22/45 magazines. The sloped ramp on these bases will break off with regular use unless you add a support inside the material. This is unavoidable with 3d material under leverage stress where there is not much depth. To avoid this problem I drilled at an angle into the base (perpendicular to the sloping ramp top) and inserted a screw countersunk level with the sloping angle of the ramp. Sounds more complex than it is to do it. This attached the sloped ramp firmly onto the base and solved the issue. Countersink the screw, or you will not be able to slide the base off at a later time. The design is not perfect but it does what I want and I do not want to spend any more time on refinements. Enjoy. You can use areas of internal solid fill where you are going to insert the screw, or you can simply print the whole thing at 100% Note that the base will be a tight slide fit onto the bottom of the mag. This is intentional to help support the sloping ramp.
