Ruger 10/22 Stock With Rail
thingiverse
Let me state that this does not contribute to the creation of a weapon, it is a stock which is simply an accessory. Found a great 10/22 stock on Thingiverse but wanted a rail up front for a light and/or laser and also had trouble using the threaded hole at the back for a buffer tube so just stuck a rail back there as well. It's a long model (346mm) so printing it on a CR-10s required orienting it diagonally. Works well with Ivan's receiver. The original posters model is not manifold with one very small flaw at one of the letters on the side but it printed fine so I never looked into how to fix that. When slicing check the preview for unneeded supports, mostly around the grip, and use support blockers and re-slice. The grip which was also borrowed, I forget who made it, has a support built into the model along the back so just trim it off after printing. Also the stock model required some light Dremel-ing at the rear where the trigger guard drops down in. Before doing that the receiver will fit fine but the receiver with the trigger assembly will fit way too tight. I printed it upside down (grip up), with a brim since it's large and will have some inertia on Y movements, support everywhere at 5% density (note on blockers above), 40% fan, 205c with 60c bed, 40% infill and at .28 layer height. Also when slicing in Cura I used support blockers on the rails and their immediate attachment areas, and anywhere you feel necessary, to add 100% infill.
