The rodent diversion includes a pulley-driven motor with two LEDs connected, which light up when the wheel spins. I added the chopsticks in the photo because my rodent has gained so much weight that it can no longer fit on the wheel! The LEDs are wired to alternate, lighting up in one direction and then the other as the wheel rotates. A pulley is placed between piece 3 and the motor's gear for smooth operation.
