Rudy the Really Rude Robot V2
thingiverse
Rudy the Really Rude Robot is a proximity sensing robot that responds to proximity by rotating its face away from proximity while flashing an LED light and playing various sounds. Rudy is based on an Arduino Uno R3 and uses a 24BYJ-48 stepper motor and a ULN2003 stepper driver, an HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor, a multicolor LED, and an active tone generator. While Rudy V1 features a printed shell, Rudy V2 uses a cast acrylic lamp shade. The lamp (https://www.homedepot.com/p/Alsy-8-in-Color-Changing-LED-Glow-Ball-Lamp-19237-000/205208125) was purchased at a local Home Depot; identical lamps under different brand names can be found online. Rudy's lower chassis is designed to screw into pre-existing threaded holes in this lamp's shade. All other electronics from the lamp are not used as part of this project. Rudy is an ongoing project and currently under development. This will be updated as progress continues. Rudy V1: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4617072
