Rudimentary phone / microscope ocular adapter (31-34mm OD)
thingiverse
A basic smartphone mount for a micro/stereoscope. The clamp is designed specifically for an ocular with an outer diameter of 31-34mm. Following the lead of several microscope smartphone mounts, I decided to try something without making a long-term commitment (that is, using the least amount of plastic possible). You will also need: * Two M4 or 1/8" screws for the smartphone clamp (any screw that reaches will do) * Possibly one or two M3 or 3/32" screws for the ocular clamp (but only if necessary: mine doesn't require any) Print it quickly and roughly: this mount was printed at 0.3mm layers, 2 perimeters only, 10% grid infill, and 3 top/bottom layers. It's a bare-bones design: adjustment can be a bit tricky and could be improved in several ways, but it worked with any phone we tried (with either the central or top-left side camera). Stability is quite good despite the long lever arm: I didn't need to add any delay to take decent photos. If you're looking for something more advanced, there are better designs available.
