Rubiks cube for the blind (using original Rubiks core)

pinshape

Summary This is a blind-friendly version of the Rubik's Cube that utilizes an original core from a standard Rubik's Cube instead of a fully printed one. Instructions If you print all STL files labeled "plate," you'll receive all necessary pieces, most of which are identical to those found in the original. The only unique components are the center_outer_xxx_cap.STLs (where xxx represents each individual cap type) and the center_outer_cap_plate.STL that combines them. To assemble the cube, apply glue (I used super glue) to connect all printed parts according to the original blind-friendly Rubik's Cube instructions found at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:9913, with the exception of the printed core part. Next, remove the caps holding colored stickers on each side from your original Rubik's core using a razor blade. Replace these caps with printed ones and secure them with super glue or a similar adhesive. Finally, use your printed parts to assemble the rest of the cube, completing it successfully.
