Ernő Rubik, a Hungarian architectural professor, created the Rubik's Cube, a 3D combination puzzle, in 1974. Initially referred to as the Magic Cube, it was commercially licensed by Ideal Toy Corp. through businessman Tibor Laczi and Tom Kremer of Seven Towns in 1980; subsequently, it garnered accolades in Germany.
