A handheld puzzle toy that consists of six square faces, each covered with 9 stickers, colored on one side with different hues. The objective is to rotate the layers of the cube in a specific sequence to align the colors on each face into a solid-colored pattern. First invented by Hungarian sculptor and professor of architecture Ernő Rubik in 1974, it has since become a popular brain teaser and competitive event. The solution involves a series of algorithms that can be used to solve the puzzle in a matter of seconds with practice.
