Human: Flexible puzzle. 5-segmented: Diameter 50mm, height 25mm 7-segmented: diameter 60mm, height 25mm Easy to print, no support needed. Print segments 2 per color. Center parts use one set of black and one set of white. Use four pieces of 3mm filament or pieces of M3 threaded rod. Glue in the holes of center parts, glue center parts together. When dry, insert a hole on the side for floppy rotation. Attach an M3 nylock nut at one side, fill with segments, and complete with an M3 screw. Lubricate with vaseline. This is a test of odd numbers of segments and how to design the cut for the floppy twist. The 5-segmented model was printed in PETG, while the 7-segmented model used ABS and acetone vaporization. This project serves as a material test for me, showcasing the differences between various filaments. I've discovered that PETG is significantly better than ABS and PLA. It can't be acetone vaporized, but it offers less warping, greater stability, and excellent adhesion to printbeds (I use kapton tape). It can be printed with my ABS nozzle without cleaning, requiring 10C more temperature (ABS=240C, PETG=250C). If the price is reasonable, consider purchasing PETG filaments. I've obtained B-grade for $12 per kilogram. Twin projects: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3098632 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1316057 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1967151
