Rubik's 4x4x2 cross blocked
thingiverse
It's a major upgrade of my original 2x2x3 blocked cube design. The middle four cubies are now securely linked together. I've successfully printed the updated model in ABS, taking extra care to smooth out any rough edges with sandpaper and applying a fine layer of acetone vaporization. Standard PLA filament should also produce excellent results, although you may need to adjust your print settings accordingly. To get started, simply print 2 copies of the middle section (mid.stl) and 16 copies of the corner pieces (corner.stl). Keep in mind that support material will be required during the printing process. Once printed, assemble the cube using M3 screws and self-locking nuts to ensure a secure and stable structure.
