The original Rubik's Cube 3 by 3 was a challenge from start to finish, requiring multiple redraws, cuts, corrections, and final touches before it finally took shape. Utilizing laser cutting technology, the plywood pieces were cut precisely, with each component measuring a mere 4 mm in thickness. To ensure accuracy, a compensation of 0.15 mm was applied to the cutting process. Once cut, the pieces are assembled using glue, requiring patience and precision to achieve a seamless fit. The final step involves sanding down the edges with a file and an emery cloth to smooth out any rough spots and give the cube its signature finish.
