Rube Goldberg Etch-A-Sketch
grabcad
This project may appear puzzling at first glance, but there was a purpose behind it; it was entertaining and potentially beneficial to others. This impressive Etch-A-Sketch features a 2-axis gantry with a tool head that includes a servo motor, all manually controlled using an X/Y joystick and two Z buttons. The plastic components were meticulously designed and printed on my Ultimaker 2+ by myself. An Arduino Uno serves as the controller, translating commands into actions for the machinery. The device can accommodate a standard 5.5 x 11 sheet of paper and is powered by a 12V power supply. Included in the uploaded directories are the controller software, STL files for every plastic part, g-code for my Ultimaker 2+, and all SolidWorks (2018) parts and assemblies.
