Rubbotron I - The Rubber Band Robot
cults3d
This little fellow could be your new best friend! I designed it especially for the #TWOTREESROBOT contest. Rubbotron (I) can behave in many different ways and simulate various human emotions! For example • he can be excited • he can be upset • he can be bored • he can be happy • he can be angry • he can be lazy • he can be resigned • he can be tough • he can be shy But beware: If he gets angry, his eyes turn red and he goes into destruction mode. His Idea-Light on the top of his head glows when he has an idea. For those who don’t want to install the Idea-Light, there is an alternate antenna for better signal included. Specs: Rubbotron (I) is driven by only 2 AAA batteries (not included) and his limbs are connected with simple rubber bands (yes, that’s where his name came from). Assembly is very easy and can be done with the help of some piece of wire. For electrical installation, you can do whatever you like. I used simple 3V bulbs, but 5mm LEDs will fit into the eyeholes as well. If Rubbotron freaks out, there is an opening for a killswitch on the backside of his head (I think he can’t reach it by himself). Note: Left and right legs, arms and ears are identical and there is only one STL included, which fits for both sides. If you print those parts, you have to multiply them in your printing software. I hope you enjoy Rubbotron (I)! If you like it, please like it at #TWOTREESROBOT .
