Rubbermaid Drybox Holder for CR10
thingiverse
Two years ago, I decided to commit to using Rubbermaid dryboxes for my filament spools. This setup works perfectly well for 3D printers where the drybox can be placed right next to the printer. However, with the CR10, which already takes up valuable space with its bulky control box, I needed a way to secure the Rubbermaid dryboxes on top of it.I started contributing to CAD design as a beginner, using this rectangular holder as a stepping stone instead of just downloading other people's STL files. I created two versions.I designed one version that measures 22cm x 10cm x 10cm with walls that are 3 mm to 4 mm thick. This is a long print that requires a lot of filament. The other version is 22cm x 10 cm x 6 cm, featuring many circular cutouts that reduce both print time and filament consumption. To use this holder, simply affix it to the top of the CR10 control box with double-sided tape, then swap out Rubbermaid dryboxes as needed, eliminating the need for a dedicated drybox and reducing the hassle of switching out filament spools.
