Rubbermaid dry box filament mounting base
prusaprinters
I created a filament mounting base to fit inside a “Rubbermaid 21 cups Clear Food Storage Container” dry box. The design allows for desiccant to be poured in the container and be easily monitored, removed, and/or replaced. The mounting base was designed to fit a Prusa spool holder. I remixed the “Mini rail spoolholder” to better fit in the box, while accepting a standard Prusa filament spool and smaller spools. I included a hole so one can easily mount the spoolholder to the mounting base. You can find the Rubbermaid Container by searching for:Rubbermaid 21 cups Clear Food Storage ContainerThe “MINI-rail-spoolholder.stl” that I modified can be found here:https://github.com/prusa3d/Original-Prusa-MINI/blob/master/STL/MINI-rail-spoolholder.stlThe mounting base will print in just over 2 hours on a Prusa MK3+ at 0.30mm Draft using PLA and about 1 hour 20 min on an Prusa MK4 with IS enabled 0.20mm Speed using PLA.This item will not fit on a Prusa Mini bed.If you find this item useful, please consider making a donation of any amount the Phelan McDermid Syndrome Foundation (PMSF) under AudienceOfOne:https://donate.pmsf.orgThanks, AudienceOfOne
