Desiccant boxes are crafted to snugly fit at the bottom of Rubbermaid 21 cup storage containers. This design was specifically tailored for the translucent containers, but it also works well in Zylar containers if you can still manage to find them. Two desiccant boxes fill the bottom of the container and sit flat with only a small gap in the long direction. To get the most out of your dehydrator, I highly recommend using PETG or ABS for added heat resistance. Each box holds approximately 60 grams of silica gel desiccant with diameters ranging from 2-4mm. The box tops should be secured firmly with an M3 x 8mm screw and nut.
