The single-piece bow, inspired by ancient recurve bows and their secondary spring action, has been designed as a replacement for rubberband bows. Its unique ribbed design, called Xenome, allows the plastic to flex without breaking, creating an effective secondary spring action. An optional handle enables use as a crossbow. It fires standard ticonderoga #2 pencils or other cylindrical objects that clear the bow's frame. For optimal functionality, print with ABS for flexibility and ensure 75% infill to maintain the recurve action without damaging the structure; secure a dangerous-enough rubberband for safe use.
