Rubber Joint Bush

A rubber bushing, or bushing, is a type of vibration isolator which acts as an interface between two components, dampening energy transmission through it. Commonly employed in car suspension systems, these bushings made of rubber (or often synthetic rubber or polyurethane) separate the faces of metal parts while allowing for limited movement. This allows unhindered motion in suspension parts like when driving over large bumps, minimizing noise and small vibration transmission to the vehicle's chassis. Rubber bushings can also be referred to as flexible mountings or antivibration mountings.
