Rubber Band Winder
thingiverse
This 3d printable winder is meant to require a minimum of external materials to complete. 1 skateboard bearing, a 1/4 inch dowel rod, and two small m2 screws are all that are required to complete. The screws could be made optional if you don't mind printing with more support. This forms a two stage, 16:1 gearbox for winding rubber band powered airplanes. I suggest printing with a slight over-extrusion, and then drilling out the shaft holes to your desired friction. Two of the three shafts should be fixed (glued or friction fit) in the frame, with the third being very free to spin and wind your rubber band.
