Rubber band ratchet engine.
thingiverse
The monks created a stealth robot powerplant for their secret army of robospiders, living in high mountain alps. This latest innovation is designed to fit between the side plates of the Robospider, with an axle engaging the center gear. The square axle hole can accommodate an M3 or a short piece of filament, just like the pivot point in the ratchet arm. Stl files should be manipulated for them to lay flat; Solidworks 2010 files are available for interested users. A rubber band needs attachment to the chassis and wrapping around the drum's attachment point. The drum winding tightens the rubber band, with a ratchet preventing reverse motion. To operate, simply flick the ratchet to disengage, and the robospider is ready to go. All your bases belong to these stealthy robospiders.
