Rubber Band Powered Boat
thingiverse
This boat is one of three models utilizing a rubber band I designed after multiple attempts, and I successfully added weight to it by using coins, totaling approximately 32.77 grams (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fsYgb2xobzQ). The website address for this model can be found at http://blog-imgs-49.fc2.com/b/o/a/boat328/Boat-Blue-Prints-3.jpg. I trimmed it slightly to create a flat part, and there are two support pieces in the middle that can be broken to reduce weight. The inside of the boat has contours that don't fit and features a 50-degree angle. In addition to this model, I used a pipe with a thickness of 0.5 mm when printing "boat engine" to prevent twisting. The concept for this boat is inspired by a model boat with an outboard engine after viewing pictures on the internet featuring propellers located under the hull and slightly backward.
